Our Story – From a Family Workshop to an Industry Leader
What began as a small home-based metalworking shop, has grown into a successful company and a market leader in the production of custom-made trailers tailored to customer needs.
It all started over four decades ago with a clear vision: to create robust and reliable trailers built to last. Zvonimir Torbarina transformed his passion for sailing and nautical life into the development of a product essential for every boat owner — whether it's for winter storage, regular service, painting, or cleaning. That product, of course, is the trailer. The roots of the Torbarina company go back to 1987, when Mr. Torbarina welded his first trailer on the terrace of his family home in Donja Lomnica. It was a twin-axle trailer for a traditional fishing boat (pasara), and its functionality was tested at nearby Lake Čiče.
That first year, 10 trailers were made. Over time, the company expanded its production capacity and perfected its processes. Today, a brand Torbarina is a synonym for quality and innovation in the trailer industry.
